Karel Nijs

Karel has more than 25 years of experience in audit, valuations and transaction support, with a strong specialization in venture capital funds, start-ups and technology companies. He started his career at PwC (1991-2001), including an international assignment in Silicon Valley. He then worked at Big Bang Ventures and became audit partner at Clybouw Auditors. In 2012, he founded Nijs Roeckens Auditors, which joined Finvision in 2019. Karel holds a degree in Economics from the University of Antwerp (1989-1993) and a postgraduate degree in Accounting & Auditing from KU Leuven (1993-1994). He has been a certified statutory auditor (IBR/IRE) since 2004 and is also recognized by the FSMA.
