IFRS Series – IFRS 9 for corporates (session 2)
jeudi 17 décembre 2020 | 11:00 - 12:30
The application of IFRS 9 is not limited to banks and insurance companies and it is also not limited to companies with hedging and/or derivative contracts. Therefore we would like to help you better understand the scope and requirement of IFRS 9 and the different application issues that you may encounter when applying IFRS 9.
The objective of these three webinars is to start in the first webinar with an introduction to IFRS 9 and the in-dept explanation of the following topics: classification of financial assets and liabilities, recognition and measurement and the effective interest rate method, and impairment (including the expected credit loss model). During the second webinar, we will cover the recognition principles and the difference between equity and financial liability (preference shares, perpetual debt, convertible loans, contracts to purchase minority interest, etc.). In the last session, we will explain « derivatives » and « hedge accounting ».
We do combine the theoretical principles with different examples.
The webinars will be limited in time to allow you to combine this with your daily tasks and schedules.
The language of the webinar will be English.
Webinar is free of charge.
